Yeah, this is definitely not explicit (and not tested). We should probably for now add a new line to https://streams.spec.whatwg.org/#conventions, plus some tests.

Of note, #963 would actually make this worse, because https://heycam.github.io/webidl/#interface-object does not do the right thing yet. That's https://github.com/heycam/webidl/issues/533
