I agree with @marcoscaceres we should not carry on copy features which are a bad legacy we should try to make the ecosystem better. I think the restriction proposed are fair. 

Especially if that's allow dev to have a consistent way to trigger install, I am happy for the trade off. 

The iframe restriction is very good. 
You could even add same origin script. 
If possible another restriction where you can detach if the click is triggered on element which do not cover the entire screen. That's a very common strategy for adverts to be clicked automatically but I guess is hard to create a spec around something like that..
