I've said that many times too.

I can create an entire forum or admin area based on HTML4 forms and graceful enhance it for images or media previews, file uploaders, expandable lists, emoji, smart date fields, everything that worked from late 90's till today **and** graceful enhance it later on.

Can I use Custom Elements to do that? **No**.

So abusing the platform will be.
