@gked: This has been added since. The preliminary spec related to this is https://discourse.wicg.io/t/proposal-staticrange-to-be-used-instead-of-range-for-new-apis/1472 .

As far as I can see, we really need an array of static ranges, right? I have added this to Input Events spec. Please let me know if you disagree. @garykac
