Yup, the current behaviour now makes sense to me.

@ebidel What do you think? Could we come up with a more real-world example for [the primer](https://github.com/google/WebFundamentals/blob/master/src/content/en/fundamentals/primers/shadowdom/index.markdown) to explain this behaviour in a less confusing way?
