Also, if you have been thinking about this since 2009, everything should have been considered already and it's just a matter of putting it into writing. I myself have been pushing for fixing this since 2012, and I don't think this is a good point to give up. But it's kind of a now or never moment for a lot I think, and I hope Safari won't block this.
