The onload function in the image element should not be called with an 
undefined variable, i.e.,

   onload="imageLoadComplete(evt)" -> onload="imageLoadComplete()"

BTW, I think you forgot the spelling Björn Hoehrmann in the 
Acknowledgements section ;-)
