webAPI: eyetoy

Chaals,

have you some webAPI pointers for image capture?
my apologies this is so vague ~:"

http://www.w3.org/TR/file-upload/
vaguely connected?

support native Image capture controls is a start, but there are a
range of possibilities including:
uploading images
presence in game: photo of me in webpage or game, locally only?
input device: using motion detection.

maybe almost 6 years ago a group of students with learning
disabilities were completely entranced by an early alpha of the eyetoy.

Why are developments of iSight type online activities, games and
gesture control so delayed, even in specification?

cheers
