Thanks, foolip. I will take a look at the tests in .../loading-the-media-resource/ and move mine there as I rewrite it. I originally wanted to use async_test() to check for triggered to events, since each browser may process the load sequence faster/slower, but I kept getting a test timeout error. Any tips for dealing with that?
