Reftests can be automated through WebDriver. I'm actually more concerned about it being difficult to identify reftests as such. The CSS WG uses the `.xht` extension and three incremental digits for reftests (e.g.: `my-test-file-001.xht`, `my-test-file-002.xht`, `my-test-file-003.xht`, etc.), and reference files are suffixed with `-ref` (e.g.: `my-test-file-001-ref.xht`).
