Getting started with the W3C payment task force

Welcome to the W3C web payment task force. We are looking for help with
a study on the opportunities and challenges for defining open standards
for JavaScript APIs for payments, and with a view to organizing a W3C
workshop on this topic later this year.

A good starting point would be to introduce yourself, and to describe
your interests and where you see yourself contributing to this effort.

The essential idea is to work collaboratively via email and the wiki, see:

   http://www.w3.org/wiki/Payments_Task_Force

There is already quite a bit of material that needs review, corrections
and extensions. I am seeking help from the W3C Developer Relations
experts on the Team for the outreach to web developers, but very much
need your help with outreach to other major groups of stakeholders.

For those of you who don't already know me, I am a member of the W3C
staff, and have been involved in web standards for many years, starting
with the early days of HTML. My current work includes my role as the W3C
staff contact on the System Applications and NFC Working Groups.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Looking forward to working with you.
