Re: Bootstrapping the Web of Things Community Group

http://hbbtv.org/ provides HybridTV standards, likely important for economic chains. A related project called Dtv4all researched usability / accessibility.

Secondly, energy consumption. Wether it be smart grid related "things" or ways in which the net can store stuff more efficiently or the way we collect environmental data (perhaps relating to some traditional "public data" spheres.

Ontological info is important for building out rww-ldp, managing privacy, connected devices and interesting new apps.

Will respond with more ideas in the near future.

I think rww-ldp accounts will play a big role, perhaps as one form of implementation. I've got questions over the role of an x509v3 cert based webid (connected to a foaf uri) vs. methodologies that are more inclusive of WoT.

Data.fm (etc.) provide a working platform to start developing data spaces and apps, which can provide a useful online interface for "things that speak" WoT.

Are there some rdf ontologies you can point me to?

Also: Web of T(rust/hings) is confusing. Given trust relies upon things, do we need both as separate works? There's also IoT which seemed to mitigate that problem, but still...

Cheers.

Timh.
