As far as I can tell, NFC support in Mobile Phones was (and still is) driven by local payments. There is no such counterpart in PCs and the Web NFC CG does not target payments either. IMO, we have a potential problem here, since the standard may turn out having rather little to run on :-( Or is NFC support a built-in feature in current PC chip-sets so the only thing you need to add is an antenna?
