[Webmob] Webmob in 2015

Hi all!

Well here we are in December! 2015 is just around the corner and because of this and due to some of our findings at TPAC Dom and I have been getting together to draft a new structure to the group for 2015. In this email I will go through these suggestions, and how you can help us make the decisions to create a well targeted group and set of work for 2015!

**** Small and Temporary Chair Change ****
First of all, Marcos will be taking a break from chairing the group for around four months returning around April. He has some stuff to do which will take up a lot of his time but has offered to come back once everything is sorted. Marcos has offered to give us advice whenever we need it (thanks Marcos!).

**** New Task Forces ****
We have worked before now on a number of small tasks resulting in some great work [1]. The suggestion for 2015 is to focus our work on two task forces: API Gap and Networking. The API Gap Task Force can focus on a number of our existing work items which look at the API Gap between native devices and the web (as well as browser plugins and extensions) and the all important use cases and requirements documents for missing APIs to bring to the web platform. The Networking Task Force can focus on impacts to, and from, the network on the web; it can also look into network-related APIs, documenting roadmaps and other helpful documents. Finally, there will continue to be a small batch of ongoing work that we will work on which might not fit in either of these task forces, but require our attention.

So, what do we do now?
First of all Dom and I will write and send a proposed charter for each task force. Please read these through and let us know your comments and suggestions. After this we will be selecting chairs for each task force, then organising first calls for the new year. So, for now please hold on till you see these new charter suggestions!

**** Calls in 2015 ****
Dom has very kindly extended our calls into 2015 [1]. Please take a look at the meetings page, add them to your diary or download the ical link!

Ok that is all for now! Please look out for the new task force charter mails, and let us know if you have any comments or feedback!
