Dear Advisory Committee Representative,
Chairs,

This is a Call for Review of a proposed re-charter for the Media and
Entertainment Interest Group:
   https://www.w3.org/2019/04/me-ig-charter-draft.html

The mission of the Media and Entertainment Interest Group, formerly
known as the Web and TV Interest Group, is to provide a forum for
media-related technical discussions to track progress of media features
on the Web within W3C groups and use of Web technologies by external
organizations, and to identify use cases and requirements that existing
and/or new specifications need to meet to achieve a tighter support of
media services on the Web.

A diff [1] showing changes between the old and new charter is available.

The current Interest Group charter [2] has also been extended until 30
June 2019 to accommodate the review by the Advisory Committee.

The group is currently chaired by Tatsuya Igarashi (Sony), Chris Needham
(BBC), and Mark Vickers (Comcast). Information on how to participate in
this group and more can be found on its home page [3].

If you have any questions or need further information, please contact
Kazuyuki Ashimura <ashimura@w3.org>, Staff Contact for the Media and

This charter review and extension follow section 5 of the W3C Process
Document:
