Subject: Proposal for addtn't frontmatter & intro edits

In response to recent discussions, please find below several
additional proposals from me for additional frontmatter and
introduction edits for our current WCAG2ICT draft.

- Judy

1. In the ABSTRACT, where it says:
"It provides informative guidance (guidance that is not
normative and does not set requirements). This document is part of a
series of technical and educational documents..."

I propose to replace this with:
"It provides informative guidance (guidance that is not
normative and does not set requirements). This document is intended
to become a Working Group Note that will be part of a series of
technical and educational documents..."

2. In the STATUS section, please re-organize the first paragraph,
which currently reads:
"This document is a W3C Working Draft being developed by the
<http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/WCAG2ICT-TF/>WCAG2ICT Task Force
(<http://www.w3.org/2012/04/WCAG2ICT-WorkStatement.html>Work
Statement) under the coordination and review of the Web Content
Accessibility Guidelines Working Group
(<http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/>WCAG WG), which is part of the Web
Accessibility Initiative (<http://www.w3.org/WAI/>WAI) of the World
Wide Web Consortium (<http://www.w3.org/>W3C). The WCAG2ICT Task
Force's work is consistent with the
<http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/2010/06/charter>WCAG WG Charter that
includes the following under its
<http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/2010/06/charter#scope>scope: "Coordinating
with other entities adopting and using WCAG 2.0." Following further
public review and refinement, it is expected to progress to a
<http://www.w3.org/2005/10/Process-20051014/tr#q75>W3C Working Group Note.

with the following paragraph, which would read:
"This document is a Working Draft being developed by the
<http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/WCAG2ICT-TF/>WCAG2ICT Task Force
(<http://www.w3.org/2012/04/WCAG2ICT-WorkStatement.html>Work
Statement) under the coordination and review of the Web Content
Accessibility Guidelines Working Group
(<http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/>WCAG WG), which is part of the Web
Accessibility Initiative (<http://www.w3.org/WAI/>WAI) of the World
Wide Web Consortium (<http://www.w3.org/>W3C). Following further
public review and refinement, it is expected to progress to a
<http://www.w3.org/2005/10/Process-20051014/tr#q75>Working Group
Note. The WCAG2ICT Task Force's work is consistent with the
<http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/2010/06/charter>WCAG WG Charter that
includes the following under its
<http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/2010/06/charter#scope>scope: "Coordinating
with other entities adopting and using WCAG 2.0." "

3. In the INTRODUCTION, where it says:
"This Working Draft provides informative guidance (guidance that
is not normative, and that does not set requirements) with regard to
the interpretation and application of
<http://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG20/>Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
(WCAG) 2.0. Specifically, this Working Draft provides informative
guidance on applying WCAG 2.0 Level A and AA success criteria to
non-Web information and communications technologies (ICT),
specifically non-Web documents and software."

I propose replacing with:
"This Working Draft provides informative guidance (guidance that
is not normative, and that does not set requirements) with regard to
the interpretation and application of
<http://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG20/>Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
(WCAG) 2.0. This document is intended to become a <a
href="http://www.w3.org/2005/10/Process-20051014/tr#q75">Working
Group Note</a> (in contrast to WCAG 2.0, which is a W3C
Recommendation and also an ISO standard.) Specifically, this Working
Draft provides informative guidance on applying WCAG 2.0 Level A and
AA success criteria to non-Web information and communications
technologies (ICT), specifically non-Web documents and software."
