Proposed definition for section

Section - a distinct, self-contained part or subdivision of an authored
unit

I'm not sure that "authored unit" is the right way to describe what a
section is a part of, but it is already defined in the glossary and
looks like the best match.

Is this definition sufficiently clear? If not, what questions does it
leave you with?
