RE: [EXT] ACT TF Meeting Agenda Thursday 9 May

Regrets, I have a meeting conflict.

To follow up on last session, I talked with a few government contacts, and I think there is possibility of using ACT rules to augment their existing accessibility scorecard. There were complaints about how vague and subjective some of the tests on the current score card were, so I think it would be a great place for use of the ACT rules. I will be continuing discussions to see what types of feedback they may be willing to provide to the group, be it feedback on the guidelines or implementations.

Secondly, I talked with a few people from The Paciello Group (not sure if someone else was trying talk with them) after a presentation on their tool ARC. The tool integrates several rule sets and is looking to introduce structured/guided manual testing into their tool. I pointed them towards ACT format to see if they may be interested in that approach for their own tool and participating in its community. They seemed to already be aware of the rules format, though I did not recognize the name they listed as participating in our group (assumedly they are in a different group). In any case, with a bit more urging we may be able to get some help from them.

I will look out in this weeks meeting minutes for how we wish to proceed with garnering feedback from these groups.

Regards,
Trevor
