Conformance Statement

HI all
I was thinking about how we will suggest website owners state their compliance level after they have audited and checked their website.

Currently W3C provide their coding for the ticks, but at the moment these only apply to individual pages as we discussed. What are we doing to provide for a whole of website/application etc. conformance statement and where will we recommend it be placed? It could be in the footer of each page, on the home page, on the accessibility information page etc. WAI also recommend placing conformance information in the metadata and we could perhaps reinforce this also.
