http:authority is only used when the requestURI is an authority 
<http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc2616-sec5.html#sec5.1.2>:

> The authority form is only used by the CONNECT method

So for a GET request, the requestURI would be

   <http:abs_path>/somewhere</http:abs_path>
