Test Mode

Hi,

At the October 2005 face-to-face meeting, we decided to add an earl:mixed test mode [1]. The original intention of this value was to provide a way of saying the testing mode is unknown. For example, if the assertor is an organization and does not disclose the method in which a test was carried out.

At the February 2006 face-to-face meeting, we decided to clarify this meaning [2] by rewording the label and description of this property. The current proposal is as follows:

* Label: "Not Available"
* Comment: "There is no detailed information about the test mode available"

There was also a proposal to add an additional property that describes the value "Semi-Automatic". This should simplify queries so that the value can be used instead of analyzing the assertor (which should essentially contain consistent information). The current proposal is as follows:

* Label: "Semi-automatic"
* Comment: "The test was done by a person or people, assisted by an automated tool"

We have yet not reached consensus or a decision on each of these proposals. Please indicate your approval or objection (with rationale) to these two proposals, or suggest editorial enhancements to the wording.
