Rule 80 [1] could be easily formalized saying:

//object[not(*)][string-length(normalize-text(text()))=0] = ()

PS: In other words, every object must have some children, otherwise some
printable text.

PS2: There are over 60 formalized tests (using XPath and XQuery) at
