updated Web interface

I've updated the Web interface as per our previous discussion (mainly 
the search functionality). There are still static mockups without any 
programming behind it, so please use your imagination... ;)

Note: the search criteria is always displayed in the results, so that 
one can go back and restrict or relax the search criteria. In later 
versions we could use WAI-ARIA and scripting to make the search page 
more interactive, for now I don't have the time.
