hightlights format - for your comment

WSTF,

Quick notes for discussion of the format for highlights are below. Please comment on list.

Location:
* http://www.w3.org/WAI/ut3/
* http://www.w3.org/WAI/ut3/highlights/all.html

Primary issues:
* position of date (left, right, own line, inline, float)
* paragraph breaks within blurb? spacing?
* markup & design outside of WAI CSS (from RSS feed)

Note:
* date is _not_ a key issue, since the items will not often be strongly date driven (unlike "real news") and won't change frequently (probably a couple times per month); therefore, want to downplay date
* need to balance lots of spacing for easier skimming with getting stuff above the fold / limit scrolling

Some options attached:
1. line-left.png: on it's own line, left justified
2. line-right.png: on own line, right justified.
- see Andrew's comment about screen magnification & people w/ cognitive disabilities
3. inline.png: same line with description text
- note: more like http://www.w3.org/
4. float-right.png: could also move it relative to the heading baseline (which was also buggy and didn't look good)
- kinda like http://www.w3.org/International/

Question: Pros & cons & preferences of each above?

Best,
~ Shawn
