No, that's not what I'm saying at all. I'm saying *don't copy/paste from there*. 

If the W3C (or anyone else) wants to do their own DOM, URL, XHR, etc. specs, then they are free to do so. Those specs will then compete with the WHATWG ones on an equal footing.
