I agree that this information would be useful, but I can't help but think it's something which should be accomplished via MIME types. TBH, the same applies — even moreso, in fact — to encodingFormat, too…

(I'm not of the opinion that if there aren't a suitable MIME types for the things the best solution is to invent a new scheme…)
