Regarding your original need, Roy...

I would caution you to look at splitting your layout between EVENTS and
ATTRACTIONS at the top levels and then build under from there.  The reason
is that Attractions themselves can typically host Events.

Theatre is an attraction structure (that has a location) and can host
events. (also called a Venue in parts of the world)
Museums also at times can host events as well, in addition to their regular
holdings and exhibits.
