mapping ttml to html

Hi,
I have been searching a lot to get info on how to map ttml into a html5 
page.
There are only some ancient docs (2010) like 
http://www.cwmwenallt.com/ttml/TTMLmapping.htm (with links to cottage 
rentals!?).
I also picked up some Popcorn samples, but I cannot get my finger behind 
the rules of mapping the TTML cues into the HTML5.
Could you give me some pointers?
