The document is corrected Glenn at: http://dvcs.w3.org/hg/ttml/raw-file/tip/ttml10-sdp/Overview.html.

A subtitle may be appropriate: “for Captions originated in the United States”.

Subject: Re: ACTION-80 PROPOSAL Use Case for Simple Delivery Profile

I have implemented this action including the changes from ACTION-85. However, this document should not yet be published as a WG FPWD for the following reasons:

(1) it needs to be valid, at present it has 885 errors according to [1]
(2) it's title and short name needs to be changed to tie it to US regional usage

Since there are too many validation errors for me to edit, Monica please edit the source and send me an update I can commit to the repository.

Here is the draft proposal to close Action-80 (http://www.w3.org/AudioVideo/TT/tracker/actions/80): Add text to describe primary scenario and regional focus in the Abstract. Insert as the 2nd paragraph.

The Simple Online Delivery profile is focused on streamlined delivery of closed captions on the web. This interoperability profile supports core TTML features to deliver legacy formats such as
CEA-608 and -708 content, and is targeted primarily for delivery in US markets.
