RE: TPWG Compliance Last Call next steps and schedule

I can help out with the new Global Considerations document or wiki page.
Given the time should we have a webex call to discuss it? Let me know off
list and I will start a doodle.

Subject: TPWG Compliance Last Call next steps and schedule

Hello TPWG,

Nick completed proposed responses to our Last Call comments on 6 November
and Wendy repeated a call for review the following week, with no expressed
concerns or objections. We will ask Nick to send out the responses to the
commenters.

On issue-268, the comment regarding regulatory compliance, the proposed
language includes linking to another document, either the Global
Considerations document or a wiki page. We would need members of the Working
Group to commit to contributing such a document in order to include that
link, otherwise the Group likely should not make a change to the
specification. Please note such commitments no later than next Wednesday,
December 2nd.

Regarding scheduling, we should plan to transition the Compliance
specification to Candidate Recommendation by the middle of December.
Gathering implementation experience (of Compliance and the TPE) will
continue in the New Year, but should require less of our regular time. Wendy
will propose a 6-month extension of the charter, which currently expires 31
December, to give the group time to conduct implementation testing and
advance the specifications to Recommendation. The extension will not include
any new deliverables, and should require fewer resources moving forward.

Happy US Thanksgiving to those who celebrate it. And for those who don’t,
have a good day as well.

Carl
