The Tracking Preference Expression Patent Advisory Group [1] has
published a report recommending that W3C continue work on the Tracking
Preference Expression Specification:
  http://www.w3.org/2012/dnt-pag/pagreport.html

Assuming adoption of these recommendations, the PAG concludes that the
initial concern has been resolved, enabling the Working Group to
continue. More detail and background are available in the PAG report.
