Re: Moving forward

Dear Aleecia:

I want to thank you for your high-minded and professional leadership role as our co-chair. You have set a standard for clarity, organization, collegiality, and foremost appreciation of the WG's critical mission. You illustrate how grace can be applied under difficult circumstances for important objectives.

I am glad you will remain a member of the WG. I welcome Peter as well and look forward to his work with Mattias. Perhaps we can all embrace this transition with a renewed commitment to deliver for global Internet users a DNT system which truly reflects their privacy choices.

Best wishes,

Jeff

It has been a privilege to serve all of you as we worked toward consensus decisions everyone can live with. I will continue to be an active participant in the group.

I first met Peter in 2005, and remain impressed by his ability to get things done. Matthias also remains as co-chair.

I started this work based at Mozilla, which is a great environment where ethics matter. W3C staff have invested substantial resources in the TPWG, above and beyond my expectations. In particular, thanks to Barbara, Ryan, Jonathan, Alex, Harvey, Sid, Tom, Thomas, Nick, Rigo, Wendy, Ian, and Matthias. It has been a pleasure to work with and for you. And thanks, always, to the participants of the Tracking Protection Working Group. We can all reminisce when our work is complete.
