Timed Text face to face in Geneva this fall

I know this is the CG, not the WG, but I want to catch the VTT community.

There is an upcoming meeting of the timed text working group at the EBU in Geneva on 16th and 17th September.  An important part of the work is to get to grips with TTML/VTT conversion, both before the meeting and, I hope, face to face.  We can’t have, in the industry, ‘isolated’ formats that have no defined conversion, it just is not good for the ecosystem.

To get this going, I think it may take VTT and TTML experts sitting around paper, computer, whiteboard etc.  I am not sure that call-in will work very well, but it’s better than not attending.

Please get this on your calendar, and try to attend.
