I have a feeling, by the way, that this conversation is shedding more heat on the feet than light on the way ahead. We have both VTT and TTML. They both exist. We all agree that we need to understand how to convert *at least* from TTML as-she-is-used (or profiled) to VTT, and perhaps the other way (it will probably drop out in the wash).
