Re: Support for advanced caption features (inc rollup)

Well that's the challenge. On tablet's we're ok as we don't go true full screen - we stay in the page and resize player to maximum area. This allows javascript to render in overlay.

On phones, our only option will either be in-band 608 captions (supported by platforms like iOS and custom  android HLS implementations), or webVTT via html5 text track or HLS webVTT playlist

Repurposing of TV captions is our primary use case, it's disappointing that this is not a priority for webVTT.
