webMethods acquires Cerebra

Cerebra sold a toolkit centered on OWL (and were heavily involved  
with the WebOnt working group). It included an OWL reasoner, editor,  
and quite a lot of middleware. This is apparently going to be bundled/ 
integrated with the next release of Fabric (7.0, due Dec 2006!).

I don't know any more details, but I believe this is the largest  
company most significant commitment to shipping a substantive  
description logic reasoner (roughly OWL Lite level, I believe) in a  
Web Services product.

Interesting, eh?
