preparing Next stakeholder survey, charter and general admin

41 members, mostly quiet, but active in the background
(doing things without much discussion)

not bad, but what can we create together?

I was trying to make the stakeholder survey mandatory for everyone who
joins, but
we do not have a way to implement this yet, so please kindly take a minute
to give
input when joining, or whenever you have a minute

NEXT SURVEY
- we could drill a bit more into the group to find out things like

geographical location of members (to support the planning of
face to face activities) and field of practice (academia, industry etc)

what else should be useful to know about the group's members?
please suggest any questions you may have under this thread, so that they
can be included in the survey-

Also,  please help to shape a charter. Should we aim to have a nice
workable collectively shaped charter
before the end of the year?

someone suggested the charter should contain the following headings

1. community goals
2. proposed activities/timeframes
3. governance/rules

anything else?
