Hi, I haven't tested myself, In this blog post, there is a test of the answer of IE with regards to different HTTP codes. http://blog.jamtronix.com/2006/03/how_ie_handles_with_http_statu.html Cool URIS for the Semantic Web is encouraging the use of HTTP code 303 http://www.w3.org/TR/2007/WD-cooluris-20071217/#r303uri On HTTP code 303, IE 6 fails and displays an error message. Did you check with IE 7? It seems that IE 8 will be released in the coming year, maybe it would be the right time to poke them about it.
