Presentation

Hi all!

I have just joined the group and asked to give a short presentation of
myself, so here goes.

I have just getting started as a "Semantic Web Specialist" here at Opera
Software. My personal interest in the Semantic Web goes back to 1998,
when I bumped into danbri on a spare time project of mine, and was
quickly persuaded that this was something I would want to follow.
However, at the time, I was a master's student in theoretical
astrophysics, and I didn't have time to work on Semantic Web
technologies before recently.

I have done a few small things, such as FOAF support for our community
site my.opera.com, a SPARQL engine of most of the data there, etc, but
as the Semantic Web is getting adopted, we are looking to get more
involved. In addition, I do things on my sparetime as well, when I have
a bit of time. I have some Perl modules on CPAN, and I'm active in a
small Perl/RDF community.

I cannot promise a big commitment to the group, but I'll hang around and
see what happens, and perhaps offer some opinions.

Best,

Kjetil
