[InfoGathering] Can DOAP cover?

Dear all,

As you could see I began some information gathering on resources, tools,
etc. There are a number of solution that are based on the DOAP
vocabulary[1]. However, DOAP is explicit said to be developed and
defined for open source projects; I was wondering whether it would be
appropriate for products. Some of you do have products in the area;
could you check whether it is really appropriate for what we want to do?
Also, is it the right vocabulary for, say, demonstrations?

>From the answers of Libby and from, I think, the experience of everyone
of us, we should find a solution that could work autonomously beyond the
life of the IG. That is why I am asking...
