It looks to me as if ISSUE-2095
Algorithm for soft-light blend mode
http://www.w3.org/Graphics/SVG/WG/track/issues/2095

is ready for discussion and, hopefully, agreement.

Although Adobe never directly responded to their action to check the equations, it seems that the publication of the blend mode equations in SVG did have an "un-chilling" effect and the equations were subsequently published in the ISO PDF spec.

Benjamin has done some careful comparisons, so the corrections are verified by implementation.

Its also important for the wider community that the equations are published in an RF specification which is freely available and freely implementable.
