@dstorey, per the warning at the bottom of the pages, the jump in https://www.chromestatus.com/metrics/feature/timeline/popularity/204 around 2017-10-26 can be explained by the switch, but the later increase in both cannot. Both are still in the 0.001-0.002% range, and we have deprecated and removed lots of things with higher usage, so usage alone doesn't make it a non-starter. However, per http://web-confluence.appspot.com/ I see that these are supported in all browsers, and I think that should give everyone pause before removal. As I asked in https://github.com/w3c/svgwg/issues/309#issuecomment-285285956, is there really any appetite for removal?
