RE: Schema files for current draft for use by COSMOS

Looks like the build also adds in copyrights and takes out the DTD
reference. Also looks like the .xsd files I attached to my original email
exactly match what is displayed in Appendix A of the current editors
drafts (after changing the @@ characters), so I will just go with those,
assuming these links are automatically refreshed when changes are made:

http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/~checkout~/2007/xml/sml/build/sml-if.html?content-type=text/html;%20charset=utf-8
http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/~checkout~/2007/xml/sml/build/sml.html?content-type=text/html;%20charset=utf-8

If those have to be explicitly built periodically, then perhaps someone
can run the builds for those, or tell me how to do it, in the event that
the schemas I previously attached don't represent good ones to code to.

Thanks,
David

David,

Can you get the latest schemas from CVS? The (pre-build) files are
xx-source.xsd at http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/2007/xml/sml/.

You will have to edit the namespace info.

Kumar, is there anything else in the schema that is edited by the build?

FYI, here are the spec snapshots that I copied those schemas from:

Would you recommend me taking another snapshot? I.e. is the current
editor's draft more stable and better to base an impl off of? If what I
have is "good enough" for now, I am happy with that.

Thanks,
David

The smlif.xsd you attached seems to be correct but the sml.xsd seems a bit
old (it does not have some of the recent changes). You may want to check
if you used the latest editors? draft.

If you have sml spec build environment set up, you can build the
?publication? target to get the latest schemas from the build/ns dir.

Hello,

I am wanting to keep the COSMOS implementation of an SML validator current
wrt the spec. We will have an iteration build next week, and I need to
include schema files in our CVS repository that match the features we are
supporting. And I will need to be able to reference specific files in
order to get legal approval to make the checkins.

Are these attached schemas what we currently expect the build process to
produce when we issue the Last Call drafts again, presumably in the next
few weeks? If the LC draft schemas end up being different, we will need
to refresh the COSMOS copies, we realize, but the iteration builds are on
a fixed schedule. (Yesterday I build these by copying the text from the
current editor's draft and replaced the @@@@/@@ characters with 2008/09
dates.)

Thanks in advance,
David
