I should have stated in the notes yesterday that the current validator is not complete. (I'm afraid I've been too busy to be able to complete this part of the work.)

However, I do not think that you should have received an error; perhaps a warning saying that additional properties were provided.

Once I've completed the validator, it would be good to re-test your file and see what should be the appropriate output in this case.
