Job: Research-intensive software development in Semantic Querying and Data Federation for Bioinformatics

IPSNP Computing Inc is looking for a Software Engineer to work on the
development of a Biomedical Data Federation/Semantic Querying technology
based on Semantic Web services.

The following qualifications are mandatory:

   - Good knowledge of Java.
   - MSc in Computer Science or related field.
   - Experience with Linux.
   - Reasonable level of comfort with programming complex algorithms and
   data structures.

The following will be considered an advantage:

   - Familiarity with Web service technologies, client-side or server-side.
   - Experience with GUI programming.
   - Industrial software development work experience.
   - Familiarity with core semantic technologies (RDF, OWL, SPARQL).
   - Exposure to automatic reasoning or related technologies, such as logic
   programming and rule engines.
   - Exposure to natural language processing.

The salary will be between $50K and $80K CAD per annum, depending on your
qualifications.

The job is an opportunity to work on something both research-intensive and
