Taxonomy Editor, Nursing  (ID:  HEA000BK)

Elsevier Health Sciences is seeking a Taxonomy Editor, Nursing to join its Smart Content initiative team of editors responsible for the curation and maintenance of the Elsevier Merged Medical Taxonomy (EMMeT). The Editor must have proven expertise in building and maintaining a taxonomy, preferably within the nursing or allied health domain. A masters in nursing or nursing informatics degree (MS; MSN) or related work experience (HIT vendor or associated professional services) is strongly preferred. Based in Philadelphia office.
 
Responsibilities:
· Evaluate taxonomy roadmap for EMMeT to effectively support EHS nursing and allied health products
· Implement, maintain, and enhance EMMeT to fulfill the roadmap including the selection and integration of nursing-focused vocabularies
· Interact with local stakeholders including product managers to collect taxonomy requirements
· Partner with QA team to ensure adherence to indexing quality standards
· As a member of the Taxonomy Governance Team, validate, align, and prioritize change requests for EMMeT as a global taxonomy
· Collaborate on creation and enhancement of an ontology to support nursing and allied health products
