We are hearing from a number of people that current economic
conditions are making it very difficult to get early travel approval
for the November Working Group, Technical Plenary, and AC meetings.
Susan Westhaver and I talked this over this afternoon and we
have agreed to not increase the registration fee when the early
bird registration deadline expires tonight. We _will_, however,
enforce the announced fee for walk-ins as we will not have the
level of resources we had in previous years to serve walk-in
participants.
The registration fee will remain $50 per day until registration
closes on 23 October.
