During the Amsterdam F2F there was a discussion regarding NamedGraphs. Chimezie and I have started compiling some of the reasons why NG may have unique value in the Life Sciences (and Healthcare) domain. We have also collected some references to their history, and some current ways of implementing them (since they are not yet part of the standard W3C SW spec). http://esw.w3.org/topic/HCLSIG/NamedGraphs_in_Life_Sciences We welcome others to add their own examples or comments to this list, since it will be useful to capture these specific use-cases, and present them to the other technical SW W3C WG's. I would specifically point out their potential in implementing systems that could support annotations (and their provenance), whose believability may depend both on who contributed the annotation graph AND who is interested in accessing the annotation. best, Eric Eric Neumann, PhD co-chair, W3C Healthcare and Life Sciences, and Senior Director Product Strategy Teranode Corporation 411 1st Avenue South, Suite 700 Seattle, WA 98104 +1 (781)856-9132 www.teranode.com
