[HCLSIG] Journal Publications

As the different sub-tasks are starting to flourish, it might be interesting to think about how our work could best be converted into the symbolic currency of academic research: publications in peer-reviewed journals. I think that having a clear perspective about the publications that spring from our efforts early on might increase the motivation of many participants. The possibility of being a co-author might also increase the collaboration between participants of different tasks.

I would suggest that we make a special page in the WIKI where we list our ideas for publications related to the HCLSIG. This list should include the proposed first author, a short overview of the contents and the connection of the paper to the different task forces. It should also tell us whether the first author would welcome other participants (and accept them as co-authors if they add something substantial to the paper) or not.

If I get positive feedback, I will add such a WIKI page with templates.

kind regards,
Matthias Samwald
