Re: Topics discussed during F2F in W3C Strategy funnel

Francois, all SDWIG,

It will be useful to coordinate the SDWIG geospatial view of the strategy funnel with a related technology trends and roadmapping process.  

Attached is a single overview graphic of the OGC Tech Roadmapping process.  You may notice a similar “funneling” process.  
- Breath: Exploration and identification of trends is captured in a mindmap
- Assessment: Investigation and evaluation are conducted using a roadmapping process.
Scott Simmons, Gobe Hobona and I have begun to discuss alignment of the strategy funnel labels with the elements of the roadmapping.

Note the “Spatial Data on the Web” on the upper right of the mind map.  This needs to be coordinated with the SDWIG.
We are preparing a revision of the mindmap and will update the github graphic this week.

I will plan to review the geospatial view of the strategy funnel aiming for coordination on how the topics move forward with innovation and standardization.
